The house of Babel

It is really a scary video. But we can see something from there. That is culture background. when I began to study Japanese, we got to know that Japanese ladies were famous for serving here husband. For example they always warm up the water and wait for the husbands coming back and take a bath. But in the other hand, they are a little bit scary. We always heard about that the wives did suicide because the husbands were flirting with other ladies. Or some time the lovers force the man to do suicide together. “I want to kill you” was said so many times in this video. It is really scary.

Before I came to the United States of America, one of my friends went to North Carolina. She went there because her husband went there. USA life was totally new for me, so I soon went to check the information in the minute when she put her travel essay in the internet. Once she went to the beach. You know there are many onomatopoeia in Chinese and Japanese.

When I heard the sound from the outside of the car, I can say that is 叭哒叭哒 in Chinese, or バタバタ　in Japanese. I did not know what kind of word to use in English. Honey answered click.

From the pronunciation, I could not imagine that connected the same sound.

For foreign students, they will get shocked by the other uses of 一 (yī).

一 also has multiple pronunciations.

when you use that alone, or it was used in the end of the word or the sentence, the pronunciation is yī.

when it comes to the front of other words that has the fourth pronunciation, it is yí.

一半(yíbàn) 一共(yígòng) 一世(yíshì)

when it comes to the front of other words that has the first, second and third pronunciations, it is yì.

GRE is the name of Graduate Record Examination, I took out the GRE book I brought from China. I tried to enlarge my vocabulary.

Having nice stuff in the kitchen is the dream for every housewife. When I do cooking, I had no scale. I do not have stammer. I am not so good at having official talk, specifically when I try to talk about reason, I always become emotive. so I am still very jealous about the people who have the gift of the gab. Also I dream about doing speech like politicians without feeling I am going to cry before I start the speech.
