spoke incoherently

Filed under: Chinese, English, Japanese — admin @ 8:51 am

After I got pregnant, sometime I found that I spoke incoherently.
M: Hi, honey, can you get a bull from the chicken for me?
H: We have neither bull nor chicken around here. It is bowl, and from the kitchen?
M: Yeah, get me the bowl from the chicken or kitchen, whatever, you know my meaning.
M: Do you need a pearl for dessert?
H: Perl? Or pear? I only can eat pear.
M: I go party now.
H: Now? In such time?
M: why not, I can go party at any time as I want.
H: it is potty. Not party.
Sometime Chinese, Japanese and English just want to run out from my mouth at the same time.

When you have your own business, you have to have your own system, not just using the free email in the world. Free mail, of course, is good. It is convenient for individual person communicating with the friends and family. But you know, all the free mail have security problem. Sometime they sell you address out for some sneaky business. And suddenly commercial junk email just floods your inbox. Sometime they check your information in your private email. If we start our own business, we need it to be safe. If you still did not decide one, I recommend you to have a look of Email marketing. Not only does it do all the good thing that the free email does, but also you can set up to automatically answer email for you.

Some day we were watching Japanese soccer team playing games. Their name was shown in English. And the First name was shown with initial. So 英寿中田(Hidetoshi Nakata) becomes H. Nakata. Honey had some wield sense for languages. He just read that as H. Nakatta, in Japanese エッチ なかった。In Wikipedia, “Ecchi (or Etchi, from the Japanese エッチ etchi) is derived from a Japanese word meaning “lewd”, “sexy”, “lascivious”, or “naughty” when used as an adjective, and can refer to sexual intercourse when used as a verb or noun.” So you know what it means.
When 福田康夫(Fukuda Yasuo)became the prime minister in 2007, honey read his name in his own way again. Fukuda became “Fuck you da”
Not even one year, Fukuda Yasuo quit and 麻生太郎(Aso Taro) continued. He said “Fuck you da” is gone, Ass hole is back.

online tickets

Sometime we want to do something, but we do not know where to get the relative information. If you are hesitating about something now, Online Tickets StubPass.com ticketswould be your perfect entertainment guider.
In China, after Yao Ming starts playing basketball in NBA, many people pay attention to basketball games. Now in China, you know, Yao Ming becomes the number one popular national star. Whenever or wherever you go, you can see the all kinds of commercials with Yao Ming on it. From drink to clothes, to electric applicants, Yao Ming becomes the image spokesperson:
Also as everybody knows, Yao Ming is playing games in NBA. To go to watch Yao Ming playing games becomes many Chinese’s dream. I am one of the fans. And fortunately I got to know where to get the NBA Tickets .
I visited the site, and then I found that it is really a wonderful site. You can get not only sports tickets, but also concert tickets and theater tickets there. It is like a entertainment tickets encyclopedia.
Normally women and men have different hobbies on sports. Also the people from different countries would have like different sports because of the culture background. In China, Ping-Pong is kind of national sports. In Brazil, soccer is their national sports because it is easy for everybody to play that. In America, if you do not know baseball and Super ball, you would not enjoy the common talks among people. You know they are their national sports.
I am from China; I do not know baseball and Super ball so much because I do not know the rules so much. Sometime when honey was watching it, I always ask him questions. Honey is from Florida, and he played American soccer when he was in college. He likes watching Super ball very much when the season comes. I was thinking, probably I could get some Miami Heat Tickets for him and surprise him.

take care of your mother

Filed under: English, Society & Culture — admin @ 1:34 pm

I was watching the TV “Two and a half men”. The first time when I saw it, I loved it, because Charlie’s words are always so funny and full of humor and perfect irony. On the other hand, because it is so idiomatic, sometime it is difficult for me to get the exact meaning from the surface of the words.
Last night it was the second time for me to watch the scene of “take care of your mother”, which was the scene when Charlie went to do surfing but got drowned and saw his father, and his father told him to “take care of your mother”.
The story continued in a very irony way as it always did. In the end he got to know the really meaning of his father’s meaning was not to assume responsibility for his mother, it was the exact opposite meaning.

glasses

Filed under: Arts & Humanities — admin @ 7:54 am

I think zennioptical.com should go to China and save several hundred million people’s eyes. When I became shortsightedness when I was in elementary school, my mom just brought me to some roadside stall and picked one pair of glassed for me. After some years, such situation did not change so much. People in China just take selling glasses as one kind of business. They do not care about that your eyes will be blind or not.

simultaneous interpretation

Filed under: Chinese, general thoughts — admin @ 7:45 am

For foreign languages students, showing on TV, standing near to the great person, doing simultaneous interpretation is their dream. Such case is much easier than for the middle important people. Normally you can predict what they will say and the same kind of sentences were repeated for thousands of times.
In the middle important people rank, the most difficult thing is to do simultaneous interpretation for Chinese. For example, the boss of some company and some professor, normally in their talk or speech, it is full of garbage, hardly you could find any actually useful information to interpret. They spit out one paragraph of “I love poo”, and think their part was done now, and then wait for you to interpret.

man’s dream

Golf is kind of business entertainment. In business industry, golf is always brought to the schedule to entertain business partner. It spreads from company to company, even from country to country. As a result, playing golf becomes man’s dream and common topic. And then going to some famous course, such as Algarve Golf Courses is kind of fashion for man. The courses include The Victoria Course (built at a cost of 18 million euros), the legendry Old Course and the Pinhal course which was design by Frank Pennick.

dragon and snake

Filed under: Chinese, general thoughts — admin @ 6:20 pm

I was born in China, the country that worships dragon. We were told that we were descendants of dragon. But we do not know what dragon really is. In TV, normally it was described as a mythical monster traditionally represented as a gigantic reptile having a lion’s claws, the tail of a serpent, wings, and a scaly skin. In the foreign dictionary, it is also taken as a fiercely vigilant or intractable person, or something very formidable or dangerous. From such feature, it is exactly like snake. Maybe it was just a thing that got beautified from snake.
